Message from Principal Latonya Square

Welcome to the 2024 - 2025 school year! We are thrilled to welcome our students and staff back to school. We are so excited to have our family from Aulander Elementary School join us as well. We are one family and we will work together to make sure this year is a success. We hope that you were able to relax and make special memories with your friends and families. Now it is time to look forward to a wonderful new school year as we are ready to achieve “Success Through Inspiring the Next Generation” at Colerain Elementary School! Our students are the main focus as we keep the main thing the main thing, therefore we are determined to engage our students in rigorous and relevant teaching and learning. It is going to require everyone to partner together to accomplish this goal.

As the principal, it is essential that we put students first, and that all of them feel comfortable and safe at Colerain Elementary where they can flourish academically. Partnering with families is crucial to promote a healthy transition to school both socially and emotionally. Together with our dedicated staff, we strive to make connections with students to help them feel valued, accepted, and safe. We recognize that students may be feeling anxious with the start of a new school year and we will continue to place a strong emphasis on social-emotional learning while focusing on building classroom community.
