About Me
I attended undergraduate and graduate school at Hampton University, go 'Pirates', located in Hampton, Virginia where I received my B.A. and M.A. in communication disorders as related to speech and language delays and deficits. As being a 'lifelong learner', I have continued my learning process by attending graduate school at North Carolina Central University (NCCU) and obtaining a M.Ed in special education and minor in communication disorders, 'Eagle Pride'. Other learning opportunities have included: add on school administration - East Carolina University (ECU), behold the 'Purple and Gold'; and graduate certificate school administration - Liberty University, 'Flames'.
Because I am a 'lifelong learner' myself, education is at the forefront of everything for me. Therefore, I am very passionate about the development and education of children, from K through 12 and beyond. My primary concern and focus as an educator is how can I impact my students' lives and other students in order to support their learning, as well as, educational successes. I live by a motto by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr and that is, "Life's most persistent and urgent question, "what are you doing for others?"; and my own personal motto is - "Making positive impacts in the lives of others".
I enjoy and have done some leisurely traveling, as well as, exploring various areas of North Carolina.
